Mini Cake Cake Pops

It was my mom's birthday last month.  I have wanted to try these little mini cake cake pops for a while now and thought her birthday would be the perfect opportunity for it!

I really like the one with candles!

Unfortunately the icing did not stay attached to the cake during it's travels through the postal system.

She still enjoyed them and said they were very tasty!  I have a few more tricks up my sleeve to try to make these ship-friendly, so I will have to take another crack at them soon.

Gold Sprinkled Cake Pops

Party Pops - $21/dozen

These gold sprinkled party pops were created for a 50th birthday party.

I love that there is more than just a little sprinkle on these pops.

They just might qualify as "bling".  Almost.

Very tasty, almost-bling.

Flower Cake Pops

Daisy Pops - $33/dozen

I've tried a couple new things over the last few weeks.  I love trying new things and figuring out what works and what doesn't.  With being so busy it's hard to find time to try new and different techniques.  So it's always fun when I get the opportunity!

These daisy pops turned out really good, I think!  I was very happy with them!

I like how they are simple, yet not.

While I enjoy the whole process of making cake pops, wrapping them up in the bags and ribbon is one of my favorite steps.  Something about the feeling of accomplishment when they are finished and seeing them all pretty and professional-like is very rewarding to me!

Unique Wedding Pops

Custom KU Wedding Pops $24/dozen

Probably the thing I liked most about my own wedding almost ten years ago was that I could customize everything to mirror who my husband and I were.  Everything spoke to our own personalities in some way.

That's why when I get a request for something out of the ordinary, it gives me great pleasure to comply!  These pops are a few of a large wedding order currently in progress.  This is what half of the order looks like.  The other half?  Nebraska colors!  What an awesome and cute way to bring two people together!  I love it.

If you have an original idea for your wedding or special event, please don't hesitate to ask!  Making pops that are unique to you are what SusAnna's Sweets is all about!

Frozen Cake Pops

You'd be a bit hard-pressed to find a little girl right now who DOESN'T like the movie Frozen and all of its fun, quirky little characters!  Shoot.  I like it just as much as my kids do!  That's why when my daughter's birthday rolled around and she told me she wanted a 'Frozen' cake and cake pops, I knew I couldn't say no.

I also knew I had no clue how I would make them.

With time running out and a full schedule, Cupcake Addiction was there to save the day!  I found THIS VIDEO on YouTube and set to work.

In the video, she dips the girls in white and then paints on their skirt colors.  I think next time I will just dip the skirts on the girls instead of painting them with pearl dust colors.  I painted Anna, and Elsa I ended up dipping because the pearl dust I had wasn't the right color for her, and it ended up looking just as good!

I love these little printouts.  It makes things so easy and they look so cute!

These were definitely a hit at the party, and my daughter loved them!

I had different, better ideas for the cake, but it didn't work out.  So I just made it into a big pile of snow and called it a day.  Sometimes that's all you can do!  My girl loved it, though, so I considered it a success anyway.
