Frozen Cake Pops

You'd be a bit hard-pressed to find a little girl right now who DOESN'T like the movie Frozen and all of its fun, quirky little characters!  Shoot.  I like it just as much as my kids do!  That's why when my daughter's birthday rolled around and she told me she wanted a 'Frozen' cake and cake pops, I knew I couldn't say no.

I also knew I had no clue how I would make them.

With time running out and a full schedule, Cupcake Addiction was there to save the day!  I found THIS VIDEO on YouTube and set to work.

In the video, she dips the girls in white and then paints on their skirt colors.  I think next time I will just dip the skirts on the girls instead of painting them with pearl dust colors.  I painted Anna, and Elsa I ended up dipping because the pearl dust I had wasn't the right color for her, and it ended up looking just as good!

I love these little printouts.  It makes things so easy and they look so cute!

These were definitely a hit at the party, and my daughter loved them!

I had different, better ideas for the cake, but it didn't work out.  So I just made it into a big pile of snow and called it a day.  Sometimes that's all you can do!  My girl loved it, though, so I considered it a success anyway.

Tall Rainbow Cake

Why is this called a rainbow cake? Where's the rainbow?

Surprise! One very sweet girl turned one last week! Rainbows seemed very appropriate! :)

From the looks of it the party guests thought so too!  Yummm!

Candyland Party Treats!

My daughter recently turned four, and for her party she wanted Candyland.  While it was a lot of work, I had a lot of fun doing it.  It was a relatively small party, so instead of going crazy with candy I tried to do a lot with the decorations, but I still ended up with a ton of candy left over!  The treats that weren't long for the taking, however, were the cake and cake pops!

We love seeing the different ways that cake pops can be displayed.  I loved this this jelly bean display turned out!  Do you have a picture of our treats at your party or event?  We would love to see it!  You can either email it to us at SusAnnasSweets@gmail.com, or post it to our Facebook Page!

One of the things I love about cake pops is how they can also be cake bites!  Just take the stick away and there you have it!

I love how these party pops turned out!  They were a favorite at the party.  Party pops start at $16/dozen and are a great, especially for kid parties.  No messy cake to cut up.  Or if you want the cake too, they are so fun to make complement each other.  The cupcake pops, for example, go great with this cake!

I put a couple of the cupcake bites on the cake.  I think it turned out pretty good!

And what party is complete without ice cream?  Cake pop ice cream, that is!  We recently posted these on our Facebook page and they were a hit!  Ice cream sundae pops are $30/dozen.  Great for a summertime birthday party!  Contact us soon for yours!

Despicable Me!

A sweet little boy turned 2 last weekend, and he had a Despicable Me party!  I loved the theme for this party.  And his mommy did such a great job with the decorations and everything.  Anna did the cake and cake pops for this exciting occasion, and I think she did a superb job!

Smash Cake Times Two

Who says smash cakes are only for a baby's first birthday?  We don't!  Smash cakes are also great if you are celebrating on a small scale.  Or if you just want your child to have a happy and delicious send off to school the morning of his birthday!  That's what this customer did, and we think that's a great idea!

Here's a fun tip: If your SusAnna's Sweets order totals $100 or more, take home one of our cute smash cakes for FREE!
