Summer Cake Pops!

I love summer.  Warm weather, no school, water fun in the backyard, pool days, flowers.....so I thought I would put together a little post with all of the summer themed pops I have made so far.  I have more in the works too, so stay tuned!

I have had a lot of interest in the beach ball pops lately.

The very first time I made the beach balls, the only color sprinkles I had on hand were the pastels.  I decided to go ahead and try it with these colors even though I figured not many would like them as much as the primary colors.  

To my surprise, once summertime hit this year, I have had a ton of interest in them on my Etsy site.  

Here they are in the primary colors, which are pretty darn cute, if I do say so.  :)

Do keep in mind that these delicious sweets are temperature sensitive!  During the summer months, if left outside in temperatures of high 70s or hotter, they can melt!  It is best to keep them at room temperature or if you are having an outside event, kept in a cooler to keep them intact!

The flower pops are always a favorite.

If you are crazy about ice cream like I am, you know that EVERY season is the perfect season to enjoy it, but even I will admit there is something extra special about having some on a hot summer day.

Mini Cake Cake Pops

It was my mom's birthday last month.  I have wanted to try these little mini cake cake pops for a while now and thought her birthday would be the perfect opportunity for it!

I really like the one with candles!  

Unfortunately the icing did not stay attached to the cake during it's travels through the postal system.

She still enjoyed them and said they were very tasty!  I have a few more tricks up my sleeve to try to make these ship-friendly, so I will have to take another crack at them soon.

I've tried a couple new things over the last few weeks.  I love trying new things and figuring out what works and what doesn't.  With being so busy it's hard to find time to try new and different techniques.  So it's always fun when I get the opportunity!

These daisy pops turned out really good, I think!  I was very happy with them!

I like how they are simple, yet not.

While I enjoy the whole process of making cake pops, wrapping them up in the bags and ribbon is one of my favorite steps.  Something about the feeling of accomplishment when they are finished and seeing them all pretty and professional-like is very rewarding to me!
